Just a small bit of information regarding the differences between the Monday to Friday Sales and a Saturday sale for the various papers. The ABC will break out the Saturday and non Saturday sale.

Even if the Guardian and Telegraph are coming from a low base, the lift is still fairly impressive and would indicate that there is a good demand for a quality UK based paper at the weekend and all that it offers in terms of extra supplements.

The big number increases go to the three tabloids with The Sun being the main beneficiary, increasing its circulation by 50% on its M-F sale and the others by 28%. It shows where the heartland of the tabloid is – primarily sport.
